Attention everyone who drives a car:
The bicycle lane is an area in which bicyclists are able to ride free from automobile interference. It is not your buffer zone. If you’re texting your on again/off again lover the bicycle lane is not an extra four feet you’re allowed to use just in case you…
thechurchofcycling said: So what about the new cable house along with the cables, I hope you will be replacing both!? Worn housing will effect shifting.
You’re right, I should replace the whole shebang. The bike will be 2 years old soon and the cable and housing are original. I’ve probably got at least 15000 miles on it now. For now I just wanted to get it back on the road shifting properly.

And thanks for the reminder about the end caps. After my crash I had my LBS check out my bike because there was some concern about the deraileur hanger. I had them put some fresh bar tape on too. They just used the caps that came with the tape. Of course they fell out after two rides. Luckily, I had some of the good Cat-eye ones on hand…

The FSA SL-K Light came standard with my Synapse. I have one on my CAAD9 too. I like them, but you need to keep the crank blots very tight and recheck occasionally.
And download some tech docs.
I was hoping for a late afternoon ride. It looks some late afternoon wrenching instead.
Anonymous asked: I dealt with frayed cables the other day also. Actually I had a wire come though my hood and stab me in the had after it refused to shift. New cables fix everything. What I don't understand is why you are using shimano (unless it is electric)... campagnolo is far superior.
Why Shimano??? LOL!!! That could cause fist fights at my local bike shop. Mainly because all my bikes are Shimano. I’ve invested in most of the tools. I can find replacement parts almost anywhere I travel. And I may not be a good enough cyclist to really notice the difference…
Yup!!! Time for a new cable…..

My bike has developed some shifting issues. I wonder if it was from my crashes or did I dump some Powerade on them…
